Level 1 : Wheel

Prerequisites

No specific prerequisites are required. This course is open to everyone, whether beginners or experienced individuals wishing to develop their wheel-throwing skills to create simple pieces on the potter's wheel. However, the level of commitment and involvement in the candidate's artistic and professional journey is crucial.

  • Knowledge of the French or English language.

Objectives

  • Learn the basic techniques of wheel pottery.
  • Create ceramic pieces on the potter's wheel.
  • Discover the different stages of ceramic creation: modeling, glazing, firing.

Duration

The course lasts 1 week full-time. Schedule: 9 AM-12 PM and 2 PM-5 PM

Wednesday: 9 AM to 12 PM, afternoon free.

Teaching Methods and Evaluation Procedures

The teaching methods include demonstrations, practical exercises, and guided creation sessions. Evaluation is conducted throughout the course by observing participants' progress.

Admission Procedures

Complete the pre-registration form available on the homepage of the professional training section. Upon receipt, the training manager will review it and respond. If accepted, you will receive a welcome booklet by email, which includes: Contract, Internal Regulations, General Terms and Conditions, Access, Accommodation, and Catering details. You will send back the signed contract and internal regulations, along with a deposit check of €336 made payable to Dalmas Frédéric. Your application will be confirmed upon receipt of the complete file, and a confirmation notice will be sent.

Access Deadlines

  • The registration file must be completed no later than 15 days before the start date of the training.

Training Cost

The cost is €19.33 (excluding VAT) per hour for funded training: €580 (excluding VAT) for 5 days. Service "exempt from VAT according to Art. 261.4.4 a of the CGI."


Training Modalities

In-person attendance with sign-in sheets per half-day. No distance learning is offered.

Practical positioning test at the start of the training.
